SUMMARY:Tactical Long Gun Live Course 102 (TLG102)
DESCRIPTION:TLG 102 will build on the skills you learned in TLG 101 and continue to grow your knowledge and skills.  We will review all of the skills that you learned in TLG101\, and you will learn new skills such as: shooting from alternate positions\, clearing most common types of malfunctions that can occur while shooting\, and engaging multiple targets \nThe class includes dry fire and live fire exercises. \nThe ideal platform for this class is an Modern Sporting Rifle like the AR or AK platform. However\, lever and bolt action can be used in this class\, as well. Shotguns allowed as well.  Preferred caliber is a service caliber (.38/9mm or higher for PCC\, .223/5.56 or higher for others).  NO GREEN TIP OR STEEL CORE AMMO!!! \nEquipment needs include: \n\na functioning firearm\, with a minimum 3 Standard (not low capacity) magazines. At least 5 Magazines are strongly recommended. Don’t be the person everyone has to stop for because you had to load magazines.\nKnee and elbow pads (sport or landscaping pads are fine\, “Tactical pads” not required)\n10 caliber specific snap caps\nPlate carriers welcome- but must contain armor\na way to hold your magazines (battle belts\, and chest rigs welcome)\nif using a bolt or lever action\, a butt cuff or ammo pouch is highly recommended\,\nwrap around eye protection.\na brimmed hat that is compatible with your hearing protection. This is a non-negotiable safety rule.  If you have any questions\, Ask BEFORE the class. SUMMARY:Defensive Pistol 202 (DP202)
DESCRIPTION:Defensive Pistol 202 is a class designed for the continued development of basic concealed carry /Defensive Pistol skills. \nIn order to be eligible for attendance in this class\, you must have successfully completed a formal concealed carry course such as NRA CCW\, CDC’s Intro to Defensive Firearms/Defensive Pistol series\, DSI Tier 4 Handgun Combatives class\, CDT’s Basic Concealed Carry Handgun series\, USCCA’s instructor led course\, Absolute Dynamic’s Level 1 pistol course\, VinCo’s Gunfighter courses\, etc.  Contact Dave Chang if you have eligibility questions.  It is strongly recommended that you have attended DP201\, \nWe will continue to work on speed to presentation and various engagement distances. We will continue to reinforce your ability to clear malfunctions under stress. We will continue to work alternate shooting positions and we will work on “impaired shooter” drills including hand transitions\, one handed reloading\, firing\, malfunction clearances etc.  We will also introduce stress inoculation drills.  We will begin to work from “non-traditional” shooting positions that lead directly to application in “real life”. \nAmmo count: bring what you can afford to shoot- even if it’s 150 rounds\, recommended 400 rounds\nThis class includes both dry and live fire exercises.  All instruction will be on the range. \nPlease bring: \n\nFunctioning\, modern\, centerfire\,  firearm\nMagazines (minimum 4)\, or if you shoot a revolver\, a Revolver Speedloaders (revolvers- minimum 5).  Bring as many as you can. DESCRIPTION:The club has partnered with Dave Chang and his company\, Civilian Defense Concepts\, LLC along with our new member Anna Cousins to provide this Gun Safety And Handling Course. \nNew to the firearms world?  Need a refresher?\nCome spend a few hours with us to learn the rules of gun safety and some fundamental firearms handling skills that will get you on the range in no time.\nWe will cover topics like: \n\nFirearms Safety\nSafe Firearm storage\nConcealed Carry Permits\nLoading magazines\nAiming\nHold and stance\nAmmunition selection\nProper trigger press\n\nAnd more!\nYou do not need to own your own firearm.\nIf you have your own firearm\, please feel free to bring it.\nNO LIVE AMMO in the classroom.  This is a non shooting course.
