SUMMARY:NRA Range Safety Officer Certification
DESCRIPTION:The NRA Range Safety Officer program is for people who possess the knowledge\, skills\, and attitude essential to organizing\, conducting\, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. This is a classroom based course. \nCourse content consists of RSO’s roles and responsibilities\, range standard operating procedures\, range inspection and range rules\, firearm stoppages and malfunctions\, and Range Safety Briefings which include procedures to follow in the case of an emergency. \nRSO candidates must be 21 years of age. \nBring: Food\, drink\, writing utensils\, eyes and ear protection. He is currently an NRA Training Counselor (pistol\, rifle\, shotgun\, home firearms safety\, CCW)\, NRA Refuse to be a Victim instructor (crime prevention course)\, NRA Chief Range Safety Officer\, an NRA LE Certified Instructor (pistol\, patrol rifle\, and shotgun)\, Sig Sauer Academy Certified Semi-Auto Pistol Instructor and a graduate of their Master Pistol Instructor and Pistol Mounted Red Dot Optics Instructor programs. He is also a Taser\, Pepper Spray\, Munio Self Defense Keychain\, AVERT and ALERRT active shooter response instructor\, Mental Health First Aid Provider instructor\, First Aid/CPR/AED instructor\, and Advanced Bleeding Control/Stop the Bleed certified instructor.  He believes in a holistic approach to self defense and he will be bringing many of these programs to the club.
